Ex-Browns Quarterback And Wife Will Be Having A Child

Baker Mayfield, a former quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, is succeeding both on and off the field.

In addition to his Tampa Bay Buccaneers being in the thick of the NFC playoff hunt, his wife Emily announced on Monday that they are expecting a child.

We’ve been keeping something a little secret 🤫👀, she wrote on Instagram. “But we are ecstatic to announce that early in April 2024, baby Mayfield will be joining our crazy crew!🩷🅷🩷”

A picture of the couple holding a sonogram while their dog, Fergus, grinned at the camera was posted on the post.

Denzel Ward, a former teammate of the Browns and cornerback, replied, “Congrats, bro!”

“Ayyyeeeeeeeeee!! Congratulations, everyone!,” wrote tight end Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.

“Well done,” Michael Symon, a well-known chef in Cleveland, continued.

After getting married in 2019, the Mayfields will be having their first child.

The former Heisman Trophy winner has returned to form in Tampa, throwing for 18 touchdowns and a 90.0 passer rating. The Browns traded for him after acquiring Deshaun Watson prior to the 2022 season. In contrast, Watson has only appeared in 12 games during his two seasons in Cleveland because of a suspension followed by a string of injuries. In the team’s last game, a 36-19 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Joe Flacco, 38, was the starting quarterback.
