Ex Alabama defensive back announces transfer destination

Former Alabama defensive lineman Monkell Goodwine committed to South Carolina on Sunday, keeping him in the SEC.

After the Crimson Tide were ousted in the College Football Playoff by Michigan, Goodwine joined the NCAA transfer portal earlier this week. He played three seasons on the defensive line at Alabama, mostly as a reserve.

On Sunday, Goodwine became the second former Crimson Tide player to reveal his transfer destination, following former quarterback Eli Holstein’s commitment to Pittsburgh.
