ESPN: Chiefs veteran to be suspended for numerous games

Rashee Rice, the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, is in serious danger.

After helping the Chiefs win another Super Bowl as a rookie, he has made some significant mistakes this summer.

He has committed several blunders, including initiating a hit-and-run automobile accident and inciting a nightclub altercation in Dallas.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter just reported the latest on Rice’s potential ban on “NFL Live.”

“It certainly sounds like the Chiefs are bracing for a multi-game suspension for Rashee Rice, and it doesn’t look like he’s going to be a part of that start of the season, that opening night game against the Baltimore Ravens,” Schefter stated.

Unfortunately, off-field issues have grown increasingly regular among the Chiefs.

Kansas City has dealt with players that cause controversy off the field before, including Tyreek Hill, Frank Clark, and Kareem Hunt.

Rice is the latest player to make a few missteps off the field.

Now it appears that he is set to pay for it.

On the field, Rice set the NFL record for most postseason receptions by a rookie in 2023 (26).

Throughout the regular season, he proved to be an invaluable contributor to Andy Reid and the offense.

He had 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns.

It is safe to say he is an excellent compliment to future Hall of Fame tight end Travis Kelce.

If he can find a way to stay out of trouble, which is a big if, the Chiefs will have a solid piece out wide for Patrick Mahomes in the future.
