Enough Is Enough: Cowboys-Seahawks game was marred by bad officiating

Dallas prevailed over Seattle in a high-octane contest that saw no punts, but once more, a parade of yellow penalty flags marred the prime-time NFL match.

There are no rigged games in the NFL. The solution isn’t in.

However, the reason the conspiracy theories never stop is because of games like the ones that happened on Thursday night.

The Seahawks vs. Cowboys game at AT&T Stadium was balanced in terms of flags, unlike some other games. Despite the fact that Dallas prevailed 41–35 in a highly entertaining back-and-forth game without a single punt, the majority of the social media conversation focused on the annoyance of an endless line of yellow laundry that was left all over the field.

Between the teams, there were a total of 19 accepted penalties totaling an unbelievable 257 yards. Moreover, three flags were kindly raised.

In spite of the spectacular scoring, how awful was the viewing experience? Together, the Cowboys and Seahawks had 16 drives that did not end in three-and-outs. Eleven of them, a staggering number, had at least one accepted penalty, including several excursions with significant gains in pass interference.
