Indianapolis – On Wednesday morning, outgoing Ohio State linebacker Steele Chambers spoke with the media at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Chambers is one of eight Ohio State players that will attend the NFL combine this week. He is accompanied by fellow linebacker Tommy Eichenberg, defensive tackle Michael Hall Jr., safety Josh Proctor, tight end Cade Stover, running back Miyan Williams, wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., and offensive lineman Matthew Jones.

The defensive linemen and linebackers will conduct media interviews today and on-field testing on Friday. The defensive backs and tight ends will conduct media interviews on Thursday and on-field testing on Saturday.

The running backs, wide receivers, and quarterbacks will be interviewed by the media on Friday and tested on the field on Sunday.

The offensive linemen will conduct media interviews on Saturday and on-field testing on Monday. During the combine, all participants will meet with NFL team personnel and have medical checks.

According to CBSSports.com, Chambers is the No. 20 linebacker and No. 251 overall draft prospect. He stands 6-1, 232 pounds. That would place him as a potential sixth- or seventh-round pick, or as an undrafted free agent.

Chambers, a product of Roswell, Ga., was a converted running back who switched to outside linebacker in 2021. Over four seasons, he appeared in 45 games and started 29 of them.

In 2023, he led the team in tackles with 83 and had an interception, earning third-team All-Big Ten honors. As a junior in 2022, he had 77 tackles and 6-1/2 tackles for loss, while as a sophomore in 2021, he had 47 tackles and five TFL.

All or most of these athletes, along with others, will work out for NFL scouts during Ohio State’s on-campus pro day on March 20 at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. The 2024 NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25-27 in Detroit.

We have a video of Chambers’ comments here. Stay tuned for more from Chambers later today.
