Eagles should snatch this free agent off from the Giants

The Eagles would be wise to target this cornerback who formerly played for a division foe.

The Philadelphia Eagles have been among the most active clubs in free agency this year. They have added Saquon Barkley, Bryce Huff, Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, and Devin White. They also extended Landon Dickerson and chose to keep Josh Sweat after receiving calls about him.

After a poor season, they have strengthened this group in preparation for a comeback in 2024. One area where they still need to improve is the secondary, and Philadelphia might consider bringing in former Giants cornerback Adoree’ Jackson.

Eagles Rumors: Philly Should Bring in Adoree’ Jackson

The Eagles must find a way to enhance their pass defense next season. Philadelphia struggled to defend the pass in 2023, ranking 31st (252.7). Both Darius Slay (33) and James Bradberry (30) are getting older.

Bringing in Jackson would elevate the secondary floor. The USC product has exceptional speed and light feet, allowing it to quickly shift direction in coverage. Since 2017, Jackson has made 376 total tackles, 56 pass deflections, and four interceptions.

Getting a veteran in the secondary while maybe still selecting one would be a sensible decision for the Eagles. A one-year agreement makes sense for both parties. Philadelphia weakens a division rival while strengthening an area of need.

The Eagles have one of the greatest teams in the league and have a legitimate chance of reaching Super Bowl LIX. They presently have the seventh-best odds in the NFL to win the entire thing, at +1600. Go to FanDuel Sportsbook, receive your sign-up bonus, then use these odds to back the Eagles.
