Over the weekend, Sneed came to Instagram and uploaded an Eagle emoji as well as a photo of himself with his arms extended out, as if in flight.

Everyone believes he will sign with the Philadelphia Eagles, who need a cornerback. Or will he? I’m told three of Sneed’s Louisiana Tech college classmates, who are already on the Eagles roster, are actively recruiting the cornerback to come to Philadelphia through text messages and other means.

Running back Boston Scott, defensive lineman Milton Williams, and tight end Griffin Herbert were all teammates at Louisiana Tech and want Sneed to join with the Eagles if he hits the open market.

I feel like I’ve pushed back against both ends of the Hurts argument. Some of the criticism went too far. However, some apologies have also been made.

Simply put, Hurts must improve on his performance from 2023. The turnover rate needs to decrease. And there’s reason to expect they will, given that he had the greatest interception % of his career last season.

We saw Dak Prescott’s good regression to the mean in that area last season after leading the 2022 interceptions list. Speaking of Dak, we’ve seen how successful he was under Kellen Moore as his offensive coordinator.

The Eagles are hopeful that the former Cowboys offensive coordinator will be able to offer Hurts greater assistance than he received in 2023. Prior to past season, Hurts improved year after year.

Now is not the time to abandon the 25-year-old. There’s reason to hope he can still improve as a player and leader.

The expectation is that we’ll witness a version of Hurts who is driven to prove he’s far better than he was last season. If we don’t see any improvement, that’s a significant problem.
