Lassiter participated in the Bulldogs’ 2021 and 2022 championship runs. Lassiter had 13 games this season and recorded 37 tackles along with 8 pass deflections.

This season, Philadelphia’s secondary ranks among the weakest in the NFL. The Eagles allow 259.9 yards per game, which puts them in 28th place in the league.

It’s unclear if Philly can afford to trade back in the draft if they really want Lassiter.While ESPN’s Matt Miller concurs that Lassiter should go to Philadelphia, in his most recent mock draft, the Eagles pick up the corner at No. 29. Miller feels that this summer, the Philly secondary needs “major upgrades,” and Lassiter might be the first to go.

And that appears to be effective for Philly,” Miller said in an NFL mock draft on December 12. “While Lassetter may not be the front-seven playmaker that general manager Howie Roseman likes to choose in the first round, the secondary needs significant improvements because James Bradberry and Darius Slay will both be at least 31 years old by the start of the upcoming season.

“It’s time to invest in a quality prospect at the position. The Eagles signed Josh Jobe and Eli Ricks as undrafted free agents over the past two years, and they selected Kelee Ringo in Round 4 last April. This season, Lassiter has broken up seven passes and only allowed nine receptions.
