Could the Philadelphia Eagles steal a division opponent?

According to ESPN’s most recent free agency estimates, the Philadelphia Eagles could be interested in a key member of the Dallas Cowboys’ offense this offseason: tailback Tony Pollard.

“Moore was the offensive coordinator when the Cowboys selected Pollard in the fourth round of the 2019 draft. They worked together for four seasons, with Pollard’s involvement expanding with each passing year.

Pollard is familiar with Moore’s playbook and would bring a dual-threat skill set to the Eagles (he had more than 3,600 running yards and more than 1,300 receiving yards in five seasons in Dallas).

Money will be the key here. The Eagles are often hesitant to commit much in the running back position, so it’s unclear whether they’ll re-sign Swift after a good 2023 season.

However, running back salaries have recently been depressed, and with a number of household names on the market, including Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley, Austin Ekeler, Josh Jacobs, and D’Andre Swift, it’s possible Pollard doesn’t find what he’s looking for coming off a season (1,316 total yards, six touchdowns) that fell a little short of expectations as he took over the primary back role.”

Philadelphia Eagles’ Disappointing End of 2023

Following a season in which they were one controversial pass interference call away from winning Super Bowl 57, the Philadelphia Eagles were stacked for 2023.

After a 10-1 start to their comeback campaign, fans in ‘The City of Brotherly Love’ quickly purchased Super Bowl 58 tickets. However, a 1-5 finish to the regular season cost Nick Siranni and co. not just their momentum, but also the NFC East divisional crown.

The Eagles’ downhill spiral continued in the NFC Wild Card Round, where they were trounced from start to end by the.500 Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a score of 32-9.
