During the Cowboys’ defeat, DK Metcalf’s girlfriend sent a message

It was devastating for the Seattle Seahawks to lose 41-35 to the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football, especially considering how effectively their offense performed.

On their opening drive, Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith and company got off to a great start. On a third-and-eight, wide receiver DK Metcalf was wide open when Smith fired a dart between two defenders. Metcalf raced into the end zone for a 73-yard touchdown.

Metcalf’s girlfriend, Normani Kordei Hamilton, goes by her first name, didn’t attend the primetime match at AT&T Stadium, but she did share a rare note of encouragement on her Instagram Stories. With 7.1 million followers on the social networking platform, the “Motivation” singer posted a video of Metcalf’s score along with the message “Yahhhhhhhhhhhh.”

Following their attendance at the July wedding of fellow Seahawks receiver Tyler Lockett, Normani, 27, and Metcalf, 25, revealed they were dating. The image of Metcalf kissing her on the cheek that the former Fifth Harmony singer posted went viral very fast.

Since then, the couple has maintained an extremely discreet relationship. On their own social media profiles, Normani and Metcalf have not shared any pictures of one another.

The pair reportedly started dating rumors in June 2022 when they were seen dining at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California, according to People.

In contrast to Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, this singer and NFL player would rather go unnoticed. If Normani has been to a Metcalf game this season, she has managed to stay out of the spotlight.

DK Metcalf Sent a Message in Sign Language After His First TD of the Game

Perhaps because he went off against the Cowboys, Metcalf knew Normani was watching. He had only scored three touchdowns overall going into Week 13, but he more than quadrupled that total in Dallas. He caught six of eight targets for 134 yards and three touchdowns before the end of the evening.

But there were certainly heads turned when the veteran scored his first touchdown of the game.”NFL Next Gen Stats indicates that Metcalf’s top speed on the play was 22.23 mph, the fastest speed by a ball carrier since Week 2 of the 2020 season (Raheem Mostert, 23.09 mph),” according to an ESPN report.

Upon crossing the end zone, Metcalf delivered a powerful sign language statement. While some viewers were satisfied with the message, others were curious in what he had to say. “Standing on business” was signed by Metcalf and given to his Dallas rivals.

Metcalf has a history of using sign language to express joy while playing. Week 11 saw Metcalf sign “44, my son,” a message to Rams cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon, who wears the No. 44 jersey, following his touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams.

Metcalf revealed in an October interview with Rich Eisen that he began taking ASL language lessons on his “off days” because he continues getting reported for disparaging opponents.

Metcalf exclaimed, “I gotta plan my s***-talking now,” which caused Eisen to burst into laughter.

The Seahawks Face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 14

Metcalf was pleased with the offense’s performance, even though they had lost their last three games. After the loss, he said to reporters, “Yeah, we finally started executing.” We scored in the red zone while playing with the ball traveling down the field. That, I believe, is one thing this game has taught us that is beneficial.

Seattle’s chances of making the playoffs are fading at 6-6. The Seahawks’ next game is a rematch with the division rival San Francisco 49ers, who crushed them 31-13 on Thanksgiving Day.

Metcalf feels that if Seattle plays more complementary football, they can go back in the win column. The defense was dreadful, even when the offense was blazing against the Cowboys. On eight of their nine possessions, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and company scored a touchdown. Dallas completed 33 first downs and amassed 410 offensive yards.

“We’ve had games where the defense has struggled and the offense has performed brilliantly. In one, the offense hasn’t performed as well, but the defense has stood by us,” Metcalf remarked. “As a team, we simply need to play a full game where we’re hitting on every phase. Special teams are operating, the defense is making stops, and the offense is playing well. We’re going to be a fantastic team after we accomplish it, I believe.
