“Don’t Think They Have Faith In Him”: Ex-Ipswich Footballer Sees Blues…

Former Ipswich Town attacker Sam Parkin believes Freddie Ladapo is undervalued at Portman Road and believes the club will search for another striker next month.

Ipswich Town have shocked this season after being promoted to the Championship, finishing second in the table.

Despite complaints concerning their defense in the current season, Kieran McKenna’s team has received praise for their dynamic brand of play.

Ipswich are expected to conduct business during the winter transfer window, with many anticipating them to bring in a defender or two to strengthen their backline.

It has also been reported that they have £3 million available to recruit another striker, which does not surprise Parkin.

He believes there is a lack of trust at Ipswich in Ladapo’s ability to stand up and do the job if necessary.

On the What The EFL Podcast, the former Ipswich Town player stated:

“I read something this morning that said that they have funds to splash on a striker.

“That’s still the area where the fans would be in agreement and the conversations have kind of revolved around for the last six months or maybe longer.

“Don’t think there is the faith in Ladapo to maybe be the deputy and I expect them to improve.

“It would seem funny for them to change too much in terms of the set-up because it’s so good.

“But I suppose you have got to question the solidity defensively because it’s the reoccurring theme really.”

Ipswich have a ten-point lead over teams outside the automatic promotion spots in the Championship table.
