With the signing of former England youth goalkeeper Rohan Luthra, Derby County has bolstered their goalkeeping unit.

Luthra might start Friday night’s encounter against Blackburn Rovers.

The former Cardiff City goalkeeper, Luthra, has been practicing with the Rams and was a member of the team that traveled to Spain for their preseason camp.
Luthra has represented the team in friendlies and is Paul Warne’s most recent acquisition ahead of the upcoming campaign.
The 22-year-old, who joined on a free transfer, is expected to replace Scott Loach, who finished last season as Derby’s third choice.

“He’s a great kid who’s trained with us,” Warne added. “He will be the third choice; he’s been outstanding in training. Since he’s still a young man, I believe we will keep him. He’s been a fantastic asset.
