Burnley have signed Brighton & Hove Albion attacker Jeremy Sarmiento on a season-long loan and Stoke City midfielder Josh Laurent for an unknown amount.

Sarmiento, 22, was promoted from the Championship after a loan spell with Ipswich Town last season.

Laurent, 29, signs a two-year contract with the Potters after making 80 appearances since joining in the summer of 2022.

“I’m really excited, it was a big decision, and the next step was really important for me,” Sarmiento told Burnley’s website.

“I felt that the project Burnley is now working on was a good fit for me, and after speaking with the manager, I knew I wanted to be part of it.

Laurent stated: “I’m very excited to meet new colleagues, work under the management, and learn as much as I can.

“It’s an exciting place to be right now and the aim for us is promotion and I want to be a part of that, it’s really exciting.”

Sarmiento spent time in the Charlton and Benfica academies before joining the Seagulls in 2021, where he has made 21 senior appearances.

With Laurent’s arrival, the Clarets have signed 11 players during the summer transfer window.
