Do the Seahawks have the 49ers’ quarterback’s number?

Purdy had the game of his life last week in Philadelphia, annihilating the Eagles and establishing himself as the NFL MVP frontrunner.

Most 49ers are looking past the upcoming game against the Seahawks because, well, they’re the Seahawks, and the 49ers just beat them a couple weeks ago. The 49ers can only lose if they have an emotional breakdown and beat themselves.

That is all correct. However, this game will be especially exciting for Brock Purdy.

Purdy had the game of his life last week in Philadelphia, annihilating the Eagles and establishing himself as the NFL MVP frontrunner. He’s been compared to Kurt Warner and Joe Montana. How will Purdy react? The last time he blew out an NFC East team, he promptly lost three straight games.

Keep in mind that Purdy faced the Seahawks just a few weeks ago and didn’t perform up to par. His passer rating was only 86.7. Remember, despite Purdy’s poor performance, the 49ers had essentially put the game away at halftime, and then he threw a pick-six in the third quarter, opening the door for the Seahawks, and then Kyle Shanahan took the game out of Purdy’s hands for more than a quarter until he put the Seahawks away with a beautiful touchdown pass to Brandon Aiyuk.
