Did EA Sports College Football 25 trash the Ohio State football program?

The trailer for the first new college football game in more than a decade has been released.

Did it demonstrate disrespect for the Ohio State football program?

College football fans across the country have been waiting for EA Sports College Football 25. It marks the first new college football video game in over a decade. I still play as the Ohio State football team in my old dynasty on PlayStation 3 using the NCAA 14 video game.

Now, the new game is almost ready for release. EA Sports released the first gameplay trailer today, ahead of the game’s July release. This is the first time we’ve been able to see how the game will look when it’s played. Take a look at the clip below.

As a college football enthusiast, simply watching the trailer got me amped up. That was my initial reaction. My second reaction is how horribly the Ohio State football program is portrayed in the video. There have been numerous instances of the Buckeyes having terrible performances.

The video shows Donovan Edwards knocking down multiple Ohio State players after making a move. It also shows Illinois hoisting the Illibuck trophy, something they have not won since 2007. That was the last time Illinois defeated the Buckeyes. Kyle McCord was also seen in a Syracuse jersey doing some nice work.

There was not a single positive moment for the Buckeyes in the nearly two-minute footage. That interests me much. Was it intentional? Is EA Sports really anti-Ohio State? I am not going to go that far. It’s merely a bizarre incident that occurred by chance.

When will EA Sports College Football 25 be released?

The release date for the game is July 19th. I’ve already placed my pre-order for the PlayStation 5. It’s also available for Xbox One. All I know is that I will start playing this game as soon as I acquire it, and I will be playing with the Buckeyes very soon.
