Detroit Lions create NFL history, generating excitement throughout the state

More victories equals more excitement. The Detroit Lions are being celebrated by old and new supporters from all over the country.

The historic victory occurred on Christmas Eve, putting the Lions in the running for the top spot in the playoffs.

“30 year wait over!” Marisa Tigney expressed her delight in a video posted on her Facebook page as the Lions were crowned NFC North champions. She stated that her connection with the sports team began when she was a child.

“My very first game that I saw was Thanksgiving years ago when I was about eight or nine years old.”

Tigney described her family’s Thanksgiving ritual as “food, family, and football.” She went on to say, “Every year through the highs, through the lows, the Detroit Lions, that’s my squad.”

The Lions last won the NFC championship in 1993. Tigney stated that she is a sophomore in college. She stated she was overcome with pleasure after her great triumph on Sunday.

“I was so proud of this team; what Dan Campbell did still gives me goosebumps to this day that they were able to persevere.” We’ve been waiting for this for so long, fans.”

Lions Chief Operating Officer Mike Disner said the team has a growing waitlist for the 2024 season and that ticket demand has skyrocketed, with more than 65,000 fans attending each game. Lions ticket prices have risen by an average of 30%, according to Sports Business Journal.

Local bars and other businesses claimed the excitement had spread from Detroit to Lansing, bringing in more customers.

Caleb VanZee, front house manager of Lansing’s One North Bar, stated, “We definitely get a lot more people in this year.” And I saw it last year in the end when they made their stretch run right at the end of the season; people became excited. Then, this year, even the first game with the Chiefs was sold out. And we always have a good crowd here for each home game. It’s fantastic.”

Tigney has stated that she will remember this Lions season. “Only one pride, baby!” “Northern kings!”
