Despite the praise, Tyreek Hill said the Cowboys star might “take my head off.”

In case you missed it, on November 21, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was dubbed the league MVP by Dallas Cowboys great linebacker Michah Parsons.

“This season, Tyler has been the best player in the NFL!”After PFF asked fans if there was a non-QB who should win MVP in 2023, Parsons responded on X.

Hill addressed the compliments on his most recent episode of the “It Needed To Be Said” podcast on November 24, so he must have seen this piece of comments from the Cowboys defender.

Hill smiled and said, “I love it,” at first. “I love it so much, baby.” The wide receiver did, however, express concern that Parsons might be attempting to play softer before of Miami’s Week 16 game against Dallas.

“It really means a lot though,” said the star player for the Dolphins. “It means a lot coming from your peers, but sometimes I’m trying [not to] get too attached to that stuff because I feel like people might be trying to gaslight you.”

Hill chuckled and said, “Because we play the Cowboys, and I can’t get too comfortable—I get out there [on the field], and Micah takes my head off.”

Hill remarked, “I ain’t falling for it,” to the laughter of his co-host Julius Collins, who added, “You know what he doing… He’s trying to trick you, dude. Refrain from pursuing it.

Dolphins Preparing for Commanders in Week 13

For the sake of safety, Hill may be keeping one eye on Parsons and the Cowboys, but Dallas’ next opponent is an NFC East rival.

On December 3, the Dolphins will visit FedEx Field to play the Washington Commanders on the road. Miami had an 82% chance of winning against the 4-8 Commanders going into the game, according to heavy projections driven by the fourth quarter.

As a matter of fact, Parsons and the aforementioned Cowboys blew away Washington on Thanksgiving Day, allowing 431 total yards of offense and a defensive touchdown.

Hill is also well-suited for this duel. At 264.6 yards per game this season, the Commanders have allowed the third-highest amount of passing yards to opponents.

This season, cornerbacks for Washington in particular have been set on fire.Pro Football Focus reports that, with 741 total receiving yards allowed across 12 appearances, Benjamin St-Juste has given up the most receiving yards of any CB in 2023.

Following closely after, rookie first-round pick Emmanuel Forbes is hurt and ranks 17th in the NFL in yardage allowed (490), while veteran Kendall Fuller is in a tie for 33rd place with 392 in coverage.

It goes without saying that pass-catchers like Hill and Jaylen Waddle might have a field day in this scenario.

Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel Provides Multiple Injury Updates on Monday of Week 13

Following the team’s victory over the New York Jets, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel took the platform once more on Monday, November 27, to provide a few significant injury updates. De’Von Achane, a rookie running back, was the first athlete questioned.

Dolphins Health Care De’Von Achane’s decision not to play against the Jets was due to a number of factors, according to Mike McDaniel, including the opponent and the short week, as Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reported.

Although McDaniel is still adjusting to life with the explosive ball-carrier, it seemed likely that he will return in some form to confront the Commanders.

According to McDaniel, fellow running back Chris Brooks is also “pretty close” to making a comeback. However, the head coach stated that more injury hurdles need to be cleared before he can be cleared to resume practice.

David Furones of the Sun Sentinel also provided updated, favorable information on left tackle Terren Armstead.

“Mike McDaniel stated that if the game was one-score, it would have been considered for Terron Armstead to return at NYJ,” he wrote, citing: “‘He’s going to be pressing hard to play.'”

“McDaniel calls it week to week, but the team will need to consider his future at WAS,” Furones continued.

The Dolphins head coach finally revealed that linebacker Jacoby Phillips has seen many physicians and should schedule an appointment with a surgeon for his torn Achilles tendon within the next twenty-four hours. At MetLife Stadium, Phillips was hurt in a non-contact incident.
