David Pastrnak Is Excited For This Player To Join The Bruins

While Paul Bissonnette joked about “tampering,” Bruins player David Pastrnak quickly expressed his desire for Edmonton Oilers’ Leon Draisaitl to join Boston.

Pastrnak appeared on the “Spittin’ Chiclets” podcast on Tuesday to discuss capturing the gold medal at the IIHF World Tournament on Sunday. The talk took a turn when the hosts mentioned names Pastnak might try to sign throughout the winter. When Draisaitl’s name came up, Pastrnak cried, “I would love Draisaitl!”

Tyler Bertuzzi, a former teammate of Pastrnak, did not appear to be interested in returning to Boston.

“He went to the Leafs,” Pastrnak quipped. “Are you kidding me?” He headed to the Maple Leafs. I don’t know, guy, like you’ve got me in a bad spot right now.”

Pastrnak may or may not speak with other NHL players about joining the Bruins, but the Czech native should find it easy to make the move to Boston.

“For the Boston Bruins, Original Six, it should be enough for you to want to come and play here,” he stated. “Would I adore it if someone came and wanted to play with me? Yes, of course. To join the Bruins, you must be committed to the organization and willing to study and obey the rules. I think it’ll be an intriguing summer.

According to CapFriendly, the Bruins have roughly $21 million in expected salary space, and general manager Don Sweeney stated that the club intends to be “aggressive” when adding players to its core group in Boston.
