Cowboys And Seahawks Did Something That Happened For The First Time In NFL History
Fans haven’t had many excellent matchups to watch on Thursday Night Football over the past few years.
To begin Week 13 action this week, that was not the case. This past night’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks was an incredible spectacle to witness.
After all was said and done, the Cowboys managed to pull off a difficult 41-35 victory. The Seahawks appeared to have a chance to win the game, but they were unable to seal the deal in the fourth quarter.
The Cowboys’ victory improved their season record to 9-3 and kept them in the running for the NFC West. The Seahawks’ chances of making the playoffs are currently in jeopardy as they dropped to 6-6 on the season.
Having said all of that, Dallas and Seattle took a step that had never been taken in NFL history.
The Seahawks And Cowboys Did Something Never Done Before
Never before had a team racked up 125 or more yards of penalties and not had to punt in the entire. game. Well, that changed on Thursday night. Both the Cowboys and Seahawks accomplished that feat.
Fans had to enjoy the tense brand of football and high-scoring dynamic of the game. There never felt to be a dull moment.
Dak Prescott led the way for the Cowboys, completing 29 of his 41 pass attempts for 299 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. Geno Smith matched him fairly well, racking up 334 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.
Moving forward from this game, the Cowboys will begin preparing to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a Sunday Night Football showdown in Week 14. That game will be a major test for Dallas. They will have a chance to prove that they are legitimate Super Bowl contenders.
On the other side of the equation, the Seahawks are in major need of a rebound win. In Week 14, they will take on the San Francisco 49ers. It will be a very tough game, but one that they must find a way to win.
