Confirmed: Rival Star Joins Birmingham City on Loan

Birmingham City have recruited Andre Dozzell, a midfielder from Queens Park Rangers, on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 24-year-old former Ipswich Town player, the son of Tony Mowbray’s former Ipswich teammate Jason Dozzell, is new Blues manager Mowbray’s first signing since taking over.

He was signed in time to be considered for Saturday’s Championship clash against Stoke City.

Dozzell, who joined from Ipswich in 2021, has appeared frequently this season.

He has made 25 league appearances, bringing his total to 98 for the west London club.

“I am buzzing,” Dozzell stated. “It’s been a stressful couple of days with a short turnaround, but now I’m just thankful to be here.

“I am ready to repay the people that have brought me here.”
