Nottingham Forest have signed, a former Blackburn Rovers midfielder, on a one-year agreement.

The Tricky Trees announced the transfer in a post on their official club website this evening.

The 27-year-old joins Nottingham Forest after leaving his previous club Blackburn Rovers at the end of the season.

Chandarana has represented Blackburn Rovers in the Barclays Women’s Championship for the past three seasons. The player appeared 57 times for the Lancashire club in league action, scoring two goals. Chandarana was a constant presence for Blackburn Rovers in 2023/2024.

The player has created a name for herself in the second tier, but this season she will play in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division with Nottingham Forest.

After joining for The City Ground, Chandarana stated, “It’s a fantastic club, and I’m excited for the opportunity and can’t wait to get started.”

“The ambition the Club has is incredible, it’s going in a great direction and I just want to be a part of it.”

Chandarana is Nottingham Forest’s second signing in the new full-time professional era. Melissa Johnson, who was the joint-top scorer in the Barclays Women’s Championship, has also joined the club this summer.
