Confirmed: Midfielder signs new contract with Birmingham City

Birmingham City Women have stated that midfielder Lily Agg has signed a new deal, extending her stay with the club until at least June 2025.

The new agreement includes an option for another year.

Agg, 29, had a strong debut season with Birmingham, making 25 appearances and scoring six goals. Her efforts on the field earned her the Supporters’ Player of the Season title.

Speaking to BluesTV, Agg stated, “We have a really good team and an excellent environment. The foundations being laid make this a very exciting moment to be here. The players are one of the main reasons I want to stay here. I’ve enjoyed being here, and the girls have been quite welcoming.”

Head Coach Amy Merricks lauded Agg’s role, saying, “Lily was a key player last season, and we are thrilled that she has signed a new contract with us. I’m looking forward to seeing Lily continue to grow and excel with the squad.”

Agg also picked up the joint-Top Goalscorer award at Awards24, sharing the accolade with Libby Smith.
