The Indianapolis Colts surprised many people during Shane Steichen’s debut season.

Despite having Gardner Minshew at quarterback for the majority of the season, they were in contention for the AFC South Division championship.

That’s why, now that Anthony Richardson is back at full strength, NFL expert Gennaro Filice believes they’ll have one of the most proficient offenses in the league.

So skilled that they may be a top-10 scoring club in the league.

“Given the immense growth Jalen Hurts experienced with Steichen as his offensive coordinator in Philadelphia, it’s impossible not to get swept up by Richardson’s potential under the cunning coach,” he wrote in an email.

He described Anthony Richardson as a passionate and quick scholar in his first year in the league, and added that he possesses athletic abilities that would make any offensive-minded coach salivate.

Richardson can hurt opposing defenders with both his arm and his feet, and despite his limited playing time, the only valid concern about him should be his health — or lack thereof.

If he can stay on the field in 2024, the Colts should have no problem moving the chains and putting points on the board.

They’re well-coached by a creative and modern offensive mind, and they have a strong supporting cast around them.

Of course, he’ll have to learn how to avoid collision and not endanger himself every time he takes off.

But we’re hoping to see him for more than four games in his second season in the league, as he might quickly become one of the most interesting players to watch.
