Colts Receive Good News On Injured Player, Status Still…

Michael Pittman Jr., a wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts, has cleared the concussion protocol but is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons due to a shoulder issue.

Wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. has cleared the protocol after taking a hard hit in the Indianapolis Colts’ 30-13 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15 that sidelined him for the rest of the game with a concussion. That opens the option for him to return to the field on Christmas Eve against the Atlanta Falcons.

Pittman, who was restricted in Friday’s practice due to a shoulder ailment, is remains questionable for the game.

Pittman finished the game with four catches for 78 yards on five targets from Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew. However, Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Damontae Kazee concussed Pittman during a head-to-head collision while Pittman was diving for a pass, resulting in the veteran defensive back being suspended for the rest of 2023 (including playoffs).

While Pittman believes Kazee did not intend to damage him, his return to Steichen’s offensive against the Falcons is critical.
