Colts React Survey Results: Post-Draft Emotions

Colts fans have spoken, and the feedback has been mostly positive following their recent 2024 NFL Draft class.

Indianapolis Colts supporters have made their voices heard, and with the team’s excellent 9-player rookie draft class, the Horseshoe faithful are feeling pretty good again!

Specifically, 90% of Colts supporters believe Indianapolis won the 2024 NFL Draft, which was highlighted by the team’s top two picks, UCLA edge Laiatu Latu and Texas wideout AD Mitchell.

Speaking of Mitchell, more than half of Colts fans (53%) like his selection, and it’s easy to understand why. Mitchell is a top-five wideout prospect in this year’s draft class, with obvious first-round potential. However, the Colts were able to trade down and choose him with the 52nd overall pick, which may appear like a steal in retrospect if everything works out.

It was a position of need entering the draft, and the Colts received excellent value with a very talented wideout prospect who complemented starter QB Anthony Richardson nicely!

While Colts general manager Chris Ballard was ‘bullish’ on his youthful secondary at his pre-draft press conference, it was unexpected that Indianapolis did not prioritize cornerbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft. In fact, the Colts did not address it until the sixth round, when they selected Marshall cornerback Micah Abraham.

The Colts definitely believe (maybe too much?) in their outside trio of JuJu Brents, Dallis Flowers, and Jaylin Jones, but more over half of Horseshoe fans (53%) say the team might benefit from a seasoned addition to help cement their cornerback room.
