Colts RB Issues A Brave Declaration Before Week 13

Who would have guessed that the Colts would be among the teams competing for a spot in the AFC playoffs?

Many were prepared to give up on the squad following a difficult start to the season and the season-ending injury of starting quarterback Anthony Richardson. But Shane Steichen and company have managed to win games, and they have a 6-5 record going into Week 13 action.

Unfortunately for the Colts, Jonathan Taylor’s hand injury from last week will keep him out of action for a few weeks. For the Colts, Taylor had only recently begun to show his potential. Fortunately, Zack Moss is a reliable backup for the offense.

Prior to the 2023 campaign, Moss was a somewhat unknown player. Although he had exhibited glimpses of his interest in the Buffalo Bills, he had never completed the puzzle. Moss was among the NFL’s most dangerous running backs at the beginning of the season, especially with Taylor out on injured reserve.

With Taylor’s injury returning, Moss is prepared to take over as the team’s featured back. He is leading the way out of the backfield, which gives the Colts great confidence.

Zack Moss Makes Bold Comments Before Colts Face Titans

Before this week’s crucial AFC South rivalry game against the Titans, Moss expressed his desire to reclaim the team’s starting running back position. He believes he has already demonstrated his abilities, so he is ready.

“I’ve already kind of done it before. Now’s the time to do it again. That’s why you prepare every day — you never know what’s going to happen in this league.”

Moss has carried the ball 141 times for 672 yards and five touchdowns this season in 10 games. With an average of 4.8 yards per carry, those figures are quite remarkable. In addition, Moss has hauled in 18 passes for 138 yards and another touchdown.

The Colts must be pleased with their replacement for Taylor, without a doubt. Moss, who is only 25 years old, is also demonstrating his abilities in front of his impending free agency. He’s scheming his way up to a big salary bump.

Having said that, the Colts will be depending on their assured running back to deliver a great showing this week. They would be in a strong position to make the playoffs if they could advance to 7-5. Moss is up to the task, and it will be intriguing to watch what he can accomplish this week.
