Wesley French, an Indianapolis Colts offensive lineman, was taken off the field during Sunday’s training camp practice at the Grand Park Sports Complex.

It is unknown what ailment French sustained during the afternoon session, but it should be monitored. French, a third-year undrafted free agent, is competing for a depth spot on the offensive line.

He can play guard or center and has largely worked with the second-team offense during training camp, implying he could compete for one of the last roster spots.

The Colts have already lost top edge rusher Samson Ebukam to a torn Achilles, an injury that will likely keep him out for the rest of the season.

If French’s injury is serious, the Colts are expected to replace him with a mix of Josh Sills, Danny Pinter, Tanor Bortolini, and Dalton Tucker.
