Colts have taken action against Andrew Ogletree following claims of domestic violence

Following domestic abuse charges, the Colts have finally taken action against Andrew Ogletree.

Andrew Ogletree, tight end for the Indianapolis Colts, was recently arrested on suspicion of domestic assault. Soon after the news came, the franchise spoke out about the matter. Now, just days after the allegations arose, the team has reached a decision on Ogletree.

According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the Colts have formally placed Ogletree on the NFL commissioner exempt permission list due to the continuing inquiry. The rookie tight end is unlikely to play again this season.

“Colts’ Andrew Ogletree placed on NFL commissioner exempt permission list after domestic violence allegations.”

Both Andrew Ogletree and the Colts are in a bad predicament. The first arrest occurred on December 26. The rookie tight end was arrested and sent to the Hendricks County Jail in Danville, Indiana. He was first detained without bond. Being on the NFL commissioner’s exempt list effectively means he can’t play while the inquiry is ongoing.

Ogletree is a developmental tight end who came into the league as a raw talent. He had nine receptions for 147 yards and two touchdowns this season. Even so, football is now a distant second for the Colts’ rookie tight end. Instead, he should concentrate on the charges against him.

The Colts, on the other hand, are still in the quest for a postseason spot. The AFC South is wide open, and Indianapolis has a shot to win it all. Even after Anthony Richardson suffered a season-ending injury, they’ve been an impressive team. Having said that, Indianapolis will be keeping a close eye on Andrew Ogletree’s situation.
