Colts GM insists QB Anthony Richardson is still ‘all go’ for camp.

The Indianapolis Colts say quarterback Anthony Richardson is “full go” for training camp despite shoulder pain he suffered earlier this month.

Colts general manager Chris Ballard said the organization is not concerned about Richardson’s shoulder fatigue following organized team activities and minicamp.

Richardson, 22, had season-ending shoulder surgery in 2023 after sustaining an AC joint strain in week 5.

“He’ll be full go,” Ballard stated on “The GM Shuffle” podcast. “He was full go all the way up until the last day of OTAs, and we had two heavy throwing sessions the two days before, and so we backed off a little on the last day.”

Richardson fully participated in OTAs and Day 1 of minicamp. He departed minicamp early on Day 2 and did not participate on the last day.

Both Richardson and Colts coach Shane Steichen stated that the decision to keep him out on the last day was cautious. Richardson told reporters earlier this month that the stiffness was typical and expected as he recovered.

Richardson, the fourth choice in the 2023 draft, completed 59.5% of his throws for 577 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in four starts to begin his career. He also tallied 136 yards and four touchdowns on the rush.
