Colts elevate RB to active roster and include DE to the injured list

The Indianapolis Colts promoted running back Tyler Goodson from the practice squad to the active roster for Saturday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Derek Rivers, a defensive end, was also added to the Practice Squad Injured list.

Goodson: This season, 5-9, 197 pounds, has spent time on the team’s main roster and practice squad. He’s appeared in two games and has three receptions for nine yards. On September 12, 2023, Goodson was signed to the Indianapolis practice squad. He took part in the Green Bay Packers’ 2023 offseason program as well as training camp. Rivers: On December 7, 2023, he was signed to the team’s practice squad at 6-5, 250 pounds. In his career, he has appeared in 24 games (one start) for the Indianapolis Colts (2023), Houston Texans (2021-23), Los Angeles Rams (2020), and New England Patriots (2017-20). Rivers has 16 tackles (11 solo), 5.0 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks this season. He has also played in three postseason games and has one special teams tackle.
