Cleveland Browns Rooting Guide for Week 10

Examining this week’s NFL games to determine the best results for the Cleveland Browns.

Every week, I’ll be publishing a rooting guide that analyzes the Cleveland Browns’ best-case scenario in every game. We will be examining a number of other factors in addition to the game’s outcome and its potential impact on the team’s postseason prospects.

It is in the Browns’ best interest for the other team to struggle so they can select higher if they own draft picks from that team. Some teams may have given up on the season and given fringe players more playing time, so the final three weeks of the season could decide the playoff race.

I’ll include the betting line as of right now for each match to help you determine who is favored.

17 – Dolphins
18 – Steelers

Steelers:

17 – Seahawks
18 – Ravens

9:30AM ET – COLTS (4-5) VS PATRIOTS (2-7)

Betting Line – Colts 2.0 point favorites

Come April, I don’t want to see an AFC team surrounding one of the top quarterbacks in the draft; the Patriots pose the biggest threat right now, so hopefully they can prevail. These two teams are promising after the early kickoff last week between the two box office teams. Watching this is something for true degenerates like me!

Go Pats!

1PM ET – PACKERS (3-5) @ STEELERS (5-3)

Betting Line – Steelers 3.0 point favorites

The Steelers deserve to be in the miserable limbo of finishing the season with eight or nine weeks left on the clock and not being able to make the playoffs because they are too far away to draft a good quarterback. I hope we see enough success for the team so that Pickett and Canada stay here until at least 2030. I don’t care which way this game goes because a win here also sets them up nicely for a disappointing game against Cleveland the following week. Even though I think the Steelers should lose this week, this one final victory is unimportant.

Who cares!

1PM ET – TEXANS (4-4) @ BENGALS (5.3)

Betting Line – Bengals 6.5 point favorites

It would be great if the Texans could put on yet another impressive performance this week against the Bengals, who are dealing with wide receiver injuries. Despite the challenging task, the probable rookie of the year has proven his abilities.

Go Texans!

1PM ET – SAINTS (5-4) @ VIKINGS (5-4)

Betting Line – Saints 2.5 point favorites

This game has no impact on the Browns but as always we wish Josh Dobbs the best.

Go Dobbs!

1PM ET – 49ERS (5-3) @ JAGUARS (6-2)

Betting Line – 49ers 3.0 point favorites

Brock Purdy was officially broken by the Cleveland Browns; ever since that game, he has been a shadow of his former self. Cleveland’s playoff chances are essentially unaffected by the Jaguars’ possession of a division that is virtually assured of a playoff berth thanks to the Bengals, Browns, and Ravens still to play.

Who cares!

1PM ET – TITANS (3-5) @ BUCCANEERS (3-5)

Betting Line – Buccaneers 1.0 point favorites

Two poor teams but since we want as many bad NFC teams in the race for the top picks in the draft we are hoping for a Titans win here.

Go Titans!

4:05PM ET – FALCONS (4-5) @ CARDINALS (1-8)

Betting Line – Falcons 1.5 point favorites

It would be a shame for him to return to work after taking all that time off and discover that the new Call of Duty game has been released. Here, we hope for a Cardinals loss because we don’t want any AFC teams to pick up in the top two spots.

Go Falcons!

4:05PM ET – LIONS (6-2) @ CHARGERS (4-4)

Betting Line – Lions 3.0 point favorites

They are in the AFC playoff hunt, so maybe a couple of setbacks in the upcoming weeks will separate them from the rest of the field.

Go Lions!

4:25PM ET – GIANTS (2-7) @ COWBOYS (5-3)

Betting Line – Cowboys 17.0 point favorites

Good luck to the Giants in chasing the highest pick they can get, hopefully that is a quarterback headed to the NFC.

Go Dallas!
