Chris Davies was pleased with the Blues’ development in their win over Shrewsbury Town.
Blues, who had defeated Solihull Moors 3-0 in the Arthur Cup on Wednesday, produced another outstanding performance against Salop on Saturday afternoon.
Jordan James and Lukas Jutkiewicz scored in each half in the third pre-season test of the 2024/25 season, with games against Rangers and Walsall scheduled for next week on Wednesday and Saturday, respectively.
Speaking to BluesTV after the game, Davies remarked on another strong performance and victory, claiming his team is doing everything correctly.
“You could see a little more clearly what type of football we were trying to play, and some of the things we worked on in training were reflected in the goals we scored.” It was a good day all around.
“This was another step forward for us, a lot of players have been able to give 60 minutes today after doing the same against Moors so that is a big step in terms of fitness, too.”
