According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston, Texas, the Kansas City Chiefs signed tight end Geor’Quarius Spivey on Thursday after he worked out for the team earlier this offseason.
Spivey, a Mississippi State and TCU product, will bolster Kansas City’s tight end depth behind Travis Kelce, joining Noah Gray, Irv Smith Jr., and rookie Jared Wiley.
Despite a successful college career, Spivey did not play in any games for the Bulldogs last season since the NCAA rejected him a transfer waiver following the Horned Frogs’ 2022 season.

It’s uncertain whether Spivey will be able to compete with Gray, Smith, or Wiley for a second or third-string slot on Kansas City’s depth chart, but with any luck, the six-foot-five tight end might make the Chiefs’ practice squad after a spectacular preseason showing.
