The Chiefs returned to practice on Wednesday, with many key players back from injuries.

They took a much-needed day off on Tuesday and now return with a much stronger roster of players.

DT Chris Jones, WR Hollywood Brown, RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and CB Jaylen Watson are all practicing, leaving S Justin Reid and WR Justin Watson as the only Chiefs currently out.

None of the four returning players’ injuries/ailments were deemed major, but it’s great to have them all back on the field.

Chiefs News: Four Key Players Return From Injury

Jones, the Chiefs Kingdom’s most valuable defensive player, caused concern when he missed Sunday’s practice due to a groin ailment. He sets the defensive tone and, as an experienced leader, has the ability to mentor the younger defensive linemen.

Edwards-Helaire revealed that he was suffering from PTSD symptoms and needed time away. He is one of the offense’s more experienced veterans and a key component of the backfield, but we all hope he is receiving the care and assistance he requires.

Neither Brown nor Watson’s injuries were extremely serious. However, like Jones and Edwards-Helaire, they will play critical roles for the two-time defending Super Bowl champs. Watson is expected to fill the vacuum left by L’Jarius Sneed’s departure, while Brown is one of the top pass-catching options adjusting to a new playbook, making training camp sessions even more important.

Overall, it’s an exciting day in Kansas City. Injuries appear to be one of the few obstacles to a three-peat. If the Chiefs can go through the next three weeks uninjured, they’ll be in great place to start strong against AFC contenders the Ravens and Bengals when the season begins in a little over a month.
