Chiefs tight end abandoned European trip to attend his own music festival

Travis Kelce returned from his quick European trip with fiancée Taylor Swift on Saturday night to celebrate Kelce Jam, his self-titled musical event.

Kelce Jam will be held at an amphitheater in Kansas City, with rapper Lil Wayne headlining alongside Diplo and 2 Chainz.

Kelce had spent much of the last two weeks with Swift on the European leg of her sold-out ‘Eras Tour’.

The event will take place approximately 30 minutes from Arrowhead Stadium, the home of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kelce appeared at the event wearing a branded t-shirt, trousers, and a blue bucket hat.

As Kelce arrived at ‘Kelce Jam’, his admirers surrounded him and began filming him with their phones, causing his security to clear a route for him.

Later in the evening, Kelce was joined on stage during 2Chainz’s set by his Chiefs colleague Patrick Mahomes.

Kelce then took the microphone and spoke passionately to the thousands of supporters in attendance.

The tight end said, ‘Y’all are the finest, man.

I’ll tell you what. Life could not be better right now than it has been in all of my years in Kansas City.

‘It’s alive and well in Kansas City, and I’m sure you feel it as well. I’ve been so grateful for your attendance and enthusiasm every time we play at Arrowhead that we’re going to keep bringing Kelce Jam to you in the offseason, sweetie.

‘I can’t thank you guys enough for coming out.’

Kelce has attended shows of ‘The Eras Tour’ in several countries since his relationship with Swift began, including in Argentina, Australia, and Singapore.

Swift and Kelce have been dating since last September publicly since she attended a Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears.

Kansas City had a 10-3 record this season with Swift in attendance, including the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer being in a luxury box for each of the team’s four playoff wins in different cities.

It was for Super Bowl in Las Vegas that Swift had to rush back from shows on her tour in Japan to be in person for Kelce’s win in the NFL’s championship game.

Kelce will most likely have to travel back to Europe to see Swift in the next three months, as she does not have a long break from touring until late August.

Swift’s European leg of her tour concludes on August 20 at Wembley Stadium.

Swift’s calendar clears up after that, allowing her to attend many Chiefs games before her next gig on November 14 in Toronto.

The Chiefs’ 2024 schedule allows Swift to attend up to 14 regular-season games based on her tour dates.

Swift’s nearly two-year tour concludes on December 8 in Vancouver.

Kelce and Swift spent a few days together in Lake Como, Italy, before her gigs in Sweden.
