Chiefs Receiver Finally Receives Some Great News Following…

Rashee Rice, a Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, had nearly as good a rookie season as he could have imagined after being selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Rice went on to endure maybe the worst offseason he could have imagined.

Fortunately for the SMU product, things improved slightly on Tuesday when an accused assault victim withdrew charges against him.

“The reporting party signed an affidavit of non-prosecution. “The investigation is ongoing,” Dallas police told ESPN.

Chiefs WR Rashee Rice Faced A Bevy Of Legal Issues In The Offseason

Rice was being investigated for allegedly punching a photojournalist at a Dallas club earlier this month. The photographer now describes the encounter as a “misunderstanding.”

The altercation occurred just over a month after Rice was found fleeing the scene of a multi-car accident on a Dallas interstate. Rice and his companions were speeding in high-performance automobiles at the time of the accident, according to video. According to police, Rice was traveling at 119 mph shortly before the incident.

But his struggles do not end there.

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Rice was involved in an incident in which shots were fired into SMU basketball star Kendric Davis’ empty vehicle while in college.

Rice allegedly thought Davis was with his girlfriend at the time.

The second-year wideout is working with the Chiefs this week as they resume offseason training.

According to reports, he could face a multi-game suspension for his role in the hit-and-run mishap.

Rice has 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns as a rookie. He also proved to be an important weapon for quarterback Patrick Mahomes during the Chiefs’ run to another Super Bowl.

However, it appears like he will need to take a step back before moving forward in year two.
