However, it appears that they have a rookie who is prepared to assume a more significant position.
The Chiefs selected Rashee Rice in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Rice had very little playing time at the start of the season, but last week he had the finest game of his career.
With eight receptions, he gained 107 yards and one touchdown.
It looks like Rice will continue to be a key member of the offense after his impressive performance.
Charles Goldman reports that Matt Nagy, the Chiefs offensive coordinator, stated of Rice, “He’s playing more.” He’s performing better. And greater trust and experience follow suit.
The time is now for Rice, who may be their team’s most gifted receiver, to step up.
In previous years, the Chiefs have had difficulty selecting pass catchers.
They picked Skyy Moore in the second round of the previous season, but things haven’t worked out for him.
It is difficult to contest the Chiefs’ status as the NFL’s top quarterback and offensive playmaker.
However, even Patrick Mahomes requires good receivers to pass to.
Without a doubt, the Chiefs offense does not appear to be as strong as it has in the past.
They still have time to make the necessary corrections, though, before we win or lose in January.
