Camara Experiences Another Injury Blow

Panutche Camara, a midfielder for the Blues on loan, had to leave yesterday night’s 3-2 away triumph over Wigan due to yet another injury.

The 26-year-old Camara, who missed eight games due to a foot knock before returning to action two weeks ago, played for ten minutes before visibly losing her cool.

“We don’t know the extent of the hamstring injury,” manager Michael Appleton said to the South London Press. “They usually occur around this time of year, when we’re up north and the temperature lowers a little bit.

“I feel bad for him because he has put in a ton of effort to get well and compete again.

“I feel so bad for him. All I can hope for is that it’s one of those that lasts two or three weeks so he can heal quickly.

Camara’s contract with Town expires at the end of the current campaign, but the club has an option to extend it by one more year. Camara is now with the Addicks till the end of the season.

After paying £500,000 to join the Blues in the summer of 2022, the former Plymouth player only made three substitute appearances and one start in the previous campaign, managing just one goal.

In other news, Myles Kenlock, a former left back for the Blues, has joined Vanarama National League Ebbsfleet United. The 26-year-old made his debut against Cray Wanderers last night, losing 5-0 at home.
