BYU football has received another commitment from a running back prospect for the class of 2025.

Kingston Keanaaina of St. Francis High School in Mountain View, California, stated on X that he has committed to BYU.

“First and foremost, I’d like to thank God for His strength and direction throughout this trip. I’d like to thank my family and coaches for their unwavering support, love, and belief in me,” stated Keanaaina.

He went on to say, “I’m blessed to be 100% committed to Brigham Young University! “Go, Cougs!”

Kingston Keanaaina is the second RB commit in BYU’s 2025 recruiting class

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Keanaaina is the country’s 112th-ranked running back. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound prospect chose BYU over rumored offers from Arizona, Air Force, San Diego State, Washington State, and other Group of Five schools.

Keanaaina is a three-star prospect and the 133rd-ranked recruit in California.

Keanaaina was selected West Catholic Athletic League Running Back of the Year last season while at St. Francis High. He carried for 1,309 yards on 208 carries and scored 16 touchdowns.

Keanaaina belongs to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Keanaaina was also a rugby player before joining football.

He joins Cale Breslin from Las Vegas as BYU’s two running back commits in the 2025 recruiting class.

With the addition of Keanaaina, BYU’s 2025 recruiting class now has 16 commitments. They are currently ranked 61st in the nation in 247Sports’ Team Rankings for the class of 2025.
