Exclusively airing live on talkSPORT 2, Burnley will be looking to snap their miserable return to the Premier League by defeating West Ham.

The Clarets are currently bottom of the table, 10 points below Everton, who have lost 10 of their first 12 games this season.

Additionally, Vinceny Kompany’s team has only managed to score nine goals against thirty conceded; the jump from the Championship is simply too great.

They now play the Hammers of David Moyes, who defeated Nottingham Forest prior to the international break after suffering three straight losses.

And he’ll be driven to end the suffering in front of Burnley supporters when they play West Ham.

  • Burnley’s only Premier League win so far this season was at fellow promoted side Luton Town in October. They’ve lost each of their last five since then but haven’t lost six consecutive top-flight matches since December 1895.
  • West Ham have won their last seven Premier League games against promoted sides – their longest such run in the competition – while they’ve also won their last 10 against sides starting the day bottom of the table.

Burnley could see the return of Hjalmar Ekdal who has not played for the club since August.

After missing two months of action, Manuel Benson is also getting nearer to making a return.

Lyle Foster will not be playing for the Clarets this season as he is taking time off to attend to his mental health.

Jarrod Bowen, West Ham’s star player, is expected to miss this game.

talkSPORT is aware that after Bowen was sent home from his England international duty, a specialist will evaluate his knee injury.

With Jamaica, Michail Antonio also developed a knee ailment that might keep him out of action for some time.

  • West Ham United’s James Ward-Prowse has more assists than any other Premier League player in all competitions this season (9). Five of those have come in 11 appearances in the Premier League, six games quicker than any other Hammers player has reached five assists in the competition (17, Paolo Di Canio).
  • Only Enzo Fernández (21) has had more shots without scoring so far this season than Burnley’s Luca Koleosho (18). His 18 attempts have an xG value of 1.5, though just three of them have been on target.
