Burnley Retains Loan Star Following Pre-Agreed Provision’s Initiation

After Mike Tresor achieved a predetermined goal while on loan from Belgian team Genk, Burnley has now acquired him permanently.

Tresor signed a season-long loan agreement with Vincent Kompany’s team, with the option to buy from Genk during the summer transfer window.

The highly regarded Belgian player can play as a winger or in attacking midfield, depending on the situation.

Tresor has made five Premier League appearances for the Clarets so far this season, mostly as a substitute, but he has not yet scored.

The Belgian newspaper HLN claims that after five official games, an option was activated, making him a permanent Burnley player.

Tresor will now cost Burnley €18 million, according to Genk.

This season, in the Premier League, the Clarets will be hoping he can live up to the transfer value.

Burnley looks to be headed for a season of fighting against relegation after their dismal start to the league season.
