Burnley interested in 18-goals striker

Burnley and Crystal Palace are vying for a striker with eighteen goals. Eagles waiting for the “perfect time,” Clarets wanting him in January

With 18 goals in 33 games for Bodø/Glimt in Norway this season, Faris Moumbagna’s performances have garnered interest from a number of European clubs.

Africa Foot claims that Lyon is also reportedly considering a January move for him, along with Lille, Burnley, and Crystal Palace.

The last two may be the reason we are seeing two names since they are both in some way owned by John Textor.

It has been stated that Burnley wants to sign Moumbagna “as early as” the winter transfer window in an effort to keep them from being demoted back to the Championship.

They do, however, have competition in the form of Crystal Palace, who have reportedly been pursuing the Cameroonian for “a while” and are only awaiting the “right time” to submit an offer.

The striker’s price has not been disclosed, but as the season draws to a close, now might be the ideal moment for the Norwegian team to sell him.

We will now have to wait and see who makes the initial move to sign the 23-year-old, Burnley or Crystal Palace.
