Burnley chairman gives support to vulnerable star
Burnley chairman Alan Pace and his family have joined in with the #MileForLyle movement in support of Lyle Foster.
The Clarets striker is presently taking a hiatus from the game in order to get specialized mental health treatment.
Burnley supporters have been walking, running, swimming, or cycling one mile (or more) in support of the 23-year-old since the news broke, highlighting the significance of taking care of your wellbeing.
John Robertson, a Clarets fan, came up with the concept and urged followers to post photos of themselves on social media using the hashtag #MileForLyle.
Not only have supporters participated, but Pace, the club’s owner, and his family have also shown their support.
He posted on X, the website that was once known as Twitter, saying, “It has been amazing to see so many Clarets participate in the fan-led initiative of #mileforlyle.”
“Over the weekend, our family got together to do ours and talk about how important it is to take care of our mental health.”
Additionally, Ashlyn, Pace’s daughter, uploaded a video of the family walking four laps on her YouTube website.
Pace was questioned about how people might enhance their mental health during the video.
“We may spend time with the people we care about, who support and care for us even in our darkest moments. Say hello and smile at everyone, he advised.
The fact that people really say hello to one another where we reside is one of its many wonderful qualities.
Kindness is what I would advise. Simply be kind to everyone, as you never know what they may be going through.
In addition, Pace offered Foster his support, writing, “Lyle, we love you, we miss you, and we can’t wait for you to be back with us.” See you shortly.
In the meanwhile, Ashlyn urged kindness, particularly on social media, as she concluded the video.
She stated, “I just wanted to end on a positive note by being kind on social media.”
There are a lot of individuals out there, especially at the moment, who, in my opinion, are frustrated and feel powerless over things, and occasionally those feelings translate into hurtful words.
“Remember that posting something might have an impact on the mental health of others as well, so consider the people in your immediate vicinity before posting. Being kind is really vital.
