Breaking: Town Push Their Interest In German International

Town are reportedly one of the clubs that have inquired about Eintracht Frankfurt striker Jessic Ngankam.

Former German U21 international Ngankam, 23, joined Die Adler in the summer but has yet to score for the Bundesliga side, prompting suspicion that he could go on loan before Thursday’s deadline.

German website Fussball.news reports that Town, Luton, Royal Antwerp, Hellas Verona, and FSV Mainz 05 are among the clubs interested.

Ngankam, who was born in Berlin, began his career with local club Hertha before joining Greuther Fürth on loan, returning to Hertha, and finally signing with Eintract Frankfurt until 2028.

However, his spell has started less than spectacularly, with the striker failing to score in three starts and 16 substitute appearances this season.

Town, who signed AFC Wimbledon striker Ali Al-Hamadi yesterday, are still looking for another striker as the transfer market closes at 11 p.m. on Thursday.

Sam Gallagher, who scored for Blackburn in Tuesday night’s 4-1 FA Cup win over Wrexham, remains a target, with Rovers apparently making a move for Orlando City forward Duncan McGuire, who has also been linked with Sheffield Wednesday.

The Lancastrians have been hesitant to sell Gallagher to the Blues due to a lack of other possibilities.
