Chief Football Officer Ross Wilson added: “Willy has been an important player for our group, on and off the pitch.
“He is a popular figure around the training ground and we are all pleased that his time in Nottingham continues.”
Nottingham Forest are pleased to announce that Willy Boly has signed a new contract with the club.
The defender has signed to a new one-year contract that will keep him at The City Ground until the summer of 2025, with the club option for a second year.
Under Nuno Espírito Santo, Boly has been a key member of Forest’s defense, contributing to the team’s promotion to the Premier League.
The 33-year-old assisted Ryan Yates in Forest’s 3-1 victory against Sheffield United, before scoring against Chelsea at The City Ground earlier this month.
Boly, who made 21 appearances in all competitions this season, won the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast in February, and has now committed to new terms with the club after the 2023/24 season.
Willy Boly said: “I’m delighted to be extending my time at the club, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve next season.
“The support of the fans has been incredible and I can’t wait to continue playing in front of them.”
