Following a workout, the former Saints defensive end signs with the Dallas Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys signed Al-Quadin Muhammad, a former New Orleans Saints defensive end, during a training camp workout, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. New Orleans selected the six-year pro from the University of Miami as the 196th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Muhammad, 29, demonstrated remarkable potential throughout his debut season before being released during the 2018 training camp. He then signed with Indianapolis, where he demonstrated his worth by securing a spot in the Colts’ defensive end rotation from 2018 to 2021.

The NFL suspended Muhammad in 2023 for breaching the league’s substance usage policy. He served five of his six-game ban, and if he makes the Cowboys or another NFL team’s roster, he will have one more game to serve.

In 84 NFL games, he made 34 starts, recorded 157 tackles, 12 sacks, 23 TFL, 33 QB Hits, four forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
