BREAKING: Indianapolis Colts running back is ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons – Week 16

The Indianapolis Colts will be shorthanded in the running back room against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Colts have ruled out rusher Zack Moss for Week 16.

Moss suffered a right arm injury during his team’s triumph against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday. He did not participate in this week’s practices before leaving for the weekend with a doubtful tag.

Indianapolis Colts RB Zack Moss: Amid Career Year

Zack Moss, a third-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, spent his first two full seasons with the Buffalo Bills, accumulating 1,118 yards and eleven touchdowns. He began the 2022 season with the Bills, but was moved to the Colts after five games. In 13 games between the two teams, he finished with 495 yards and a touchdown.

Moss took on a larger role in 2023 after top running back Jonathan Taylor was injured. In 13 games, he has ran for 764 yards and five touchdowns, a career high. He also has 27 receptions for 192 yards and two touchdowns.

Indianapolis Colts: Running Room for Week 16

The Colts will welcome back running back Jonathan Taylor on Sunday, providing a significant boost to the team as it competes for an AFC playoff spot. In seven games this season, Taylor has run 100 times for 414 yards and four touchdowns. In 2021, he lead the league in rushing yards and touchdowns.

Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson will also be in the backfield for the Colts. This season, Sermon has run 28 times for 125 yards. He formerly played for the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers. Meanwhile, Iowa undrafted free agent Goodson has 11 carries for 69 yards this season.
