According to ML Football, the Indianapolis Colts want to sign defensive end Levi Bell.

Bell’s acquisition will bolster the Colts’ defensive end depth during training camp, as Samson Ebukam is out for the season due to an Achilles injury, and he will most likely take his position on the 91-man roster.

Titus Leo would also depart Tuesday’s practice with what Shane Steichen described as a knee ailment.

Bell, who is 6-1 and weighs 275 pounds, went undrafted in 2023 out of Texas State. He is a great athlete, with an extraordinary RAS of 9.55 during the pre-draft process, including a 37.5-inch vertical and a 4.59-second 40-yard sprint.

Bell had a career-high 41 pressures and six sacks in his final college season and was rated as one of PFF’s top run defenses. He is a talented defender who has played all over the defensive line while at Texas State.

Bell was signed by the Baltimore Ravens following the 2023 draft before being released and joining the Seattle Seahawks.

Last summer, Bell played in all three Seattle preseason games, tallying 111 snaps, 10 pressures, and a sack, according to PFF.

Bell played a few snaps at fullback for Texas State and Seattle during the preseason.

Bell spent the spring playing with the Michigan Panthers in the United Football League.
