|The Indianapolis Colts defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 30-13 last Saturday, keeping them in contention for the AFC’s last Wild Card place.
However, according to The Athletic’s James Boyd, the NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell fined rookie corner JuJu Brents $8,280 for unnecessary roughness in Week 15.

Aside from a few off-field incidents, the Colts have mainly avoided NFL fines. Brents is the first Indy player to be fined for his actions since DeForest Buckner Jr. and Michael Pittman in Week 7.
JuJu Brents Lays Out Pittsburgh Steelers Running Back Najee Harris
Brents hit Steelers running back Najee Harris late in the second quarter. Brents stepped down from his corner position and made a textbook tackle on the Pittsburgh rusher. The officials did not raise a flag during the play. The NFL and Roger Goodell, on the other hand, continue to hammer down on defenders who lead with their helmets to make tackles.

Brents, who was the 44th overall choice in last year’s NFL draft, was a standout for the Kansas State Wildcats in 2022. In his final college season, he had 45 tackles, four interceptions, and 3.5 TFLs while earning first-team All-Big 12 accolades. Brents has been limited to only six games for the Indianapolis Colts this season because to a quad ailment. He has 28 tackles, three passes defensed, an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Brents intercepted Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence in mid-October, adding seven tackles and two passes defended to his stat line.
