Breaking: Brock Bowers Announces NFL Draft Decision for 2024

One of college football’s most powerful players has announced his intention to leave the University of Georgia.

Georgia Bulldogs tight end Brock Bowers has declared for the 2024 NFL Draft, foregoing his final season with the Dawgs. In his three years with Georgia, the two-time John Mackey award winner was outstanding.

Despite being absent for a chunk of the season due to an ankle ailment, the tight end led the Bulldogs in receiving yards with 714 yards on 56 catches for six touchdowns. Bowers has appeared in 40 games over his three-year career, accumulating 2,538 yards on 175 catches and 26 total touchdowns while also rushing for 193 yards and five scores.

Bowers had been likened to some of the NFL’s top tight ends, including George Kittle, before the 2023 season began. Bowers has also been likened to Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts due to the two players’ excellent ability to catch the ball and be a receiving danger for opposing defenses.

Pitts was the NFL’s fourth-round pick after catching 100 passes for 1,492 yards and 18 touchdowns during his three-year tenure with the Florida Gators. Dawson Knox was drafted from Utah last year and quickly became a crucial piece of the Buffalo Bills offense. Multiple clubs, including the Chicago Bears, who might receive a top-ten choice, could benefit from a tight-end star like Bowers. Bowers is a lock for the first round, and he now has to wait until April to hear his name called as a new member of the NFL.
